Storms have a way to make you look at what is important in your life. What matters. What you can count on. I was already contemplating what my next step would be. I had already taken a step in one direction to move forward with a new endeavor.

I love storms. I always have but this time I had a pit in my stomach unlike any I have ever had in anticipation of a pending storm. It is the first time I felt the need to evacuate.

we had a torrential downpour and awe inspiring thunderstorm. We could see it building south of us. And then lightening not only lit up the sky but crashed down around us. Several strikes on the island caused power outages. Emergency vehicles were out and about everywhere. The sirens screamed and screamed for at least an hour.
